This one day course will introduce or update the delegates to increase their understanding of aggression and violence. They will develop their own skills and confidence in dealing with aggressive or violent behaviour.
Objectives:
It is expected that delegates shall;
Learn the definition of aggressive behaviour
Be able to identify triggers to aggression
Learn diffusion techniques
Learn how to deal with conflict
Explore the causes and effects of aggressive behaviour
Develop strategies for handling aggression in the work place
Understand the impact that aggressive or violent behaviour has on the individuals involved
Learn how to report incidents and examine post incident support strategies
